School Information

We are a successful and high achieving primary school built in 2000 to serve the growing Catholic community of Ingleby Barwick. St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school and we also have a Nursery which currently offers 30 hours provision.

We are a very popular school and are often over –subscribed, please see our website for information regarding our school admissions policy and procedures.

As a faith school our beliefs and values are at the core of our teaching and learning. We have a strong commitment to teaching our faith through our RE curriculum and also an appreciation of other faiths and values within our community and wider world. Relationships at all levels are given the highest priority and personal, social and emotional aspects of learning are seen as crucial to pupils’ well-being, enjoyment and success. The school mission To Live in Love is known and understood by all stakeholders and in order to do this we are called to ‘Love God, Love Each Other and Love Ourselves’

At St Therese of Lisieux all members of the school community are valued individuals who deserve the right to feel happy and safe. The teaching and learning at St Therese of Lisieux ensures that pupils have every opportunity to promote their core faith values of respect, tolerance, justice, honesty, forgiveness and compassion to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and diversity is celebrated.

A recent S48 denominational Inspection took place in April 2018 and the school was judged to be outstanding across all areas of the framework. The report stated that :

‘St Therese is an inspirational and outstanding school. The mission statement ‘Live in Love’ permeates every aspect of school life. ‘
